Have people found this species to be particularly delicate? Of all the apistos I have kept, I have not found one as eager to die as this one. At first I thought it was water changes that triggered the deaths. But now I change water very slowly and still there is the occasional death. None of my other fish are similarly affected. Any thoughts or precautions others have found effective?

Any apparent symptoms prior to finding them dead? Do they get weaker over several days or weeks, or just die suddenly?

None of my Pantoja population are especially sensitive to water chabges. I use the same 'benign neglect' that I use for all of my other fish.
