So right now I have a ten gallon with 5 ember tetras, will be getting more once more come in stock. Do you think a gold ram or german blue ram would work in with a school of ember and maybe cherry shrimp? Anyone have personal experience with this?

I'd stick with the 5 Ember Tetras, or go no higher than 10 as it is a small tank, if it is 10 UK gallons you could just about get a pair of Rams in, but they may damage the Ember Tetras if they spawn. A Ram would be fine if you can find a good quality one, I wouldn't buy from a shop, only from a hobbiest.

Cherry shrimps are great with all the small cichlids I have owned, they love eating them.
