    I got the tap water go though the DI unit and filtered though peat (Sera) and the result is PH4.3 and ms around 10 or less. Is this good enough?

    I have a reservoir(actually just a small tub) to prepare the water for my apistogramma tanks. I utilise the PH monitor to monitor the PH. This monitor has a probe which I place in the reservoir permanently. It gives PH readings of around 5 usually. Lately, I got a new PH pen and got it...

    Hi Ed, so nowadays you use your own salt mix to remineralise your RO water? Or do you use the Seachem Equilibrium? Currently I use direct DI water filter through peat. I did not add anything to remineralise the water. Is there any cuase for concern?

    Will a 1cm diameter hole meant for the female suffice?:rolleyes: Just sweated it out sawing and drilling the PVC pipes. Now tying to glue some soil on it to make it look natural.

    Oh, I get what you mean. Me too, using water soaked in peat in advance for water change. But do you run an air pump in this aged water to circulate it? Or do you just leave it stagnant with the peat inside.
