That´s the difficult thing about that hybrid, females aren´t so common.

Just found out they're hybrids today. Thanks for the info. Does anyone know what was bred to create the 'Steel blue"? My males are stunning!

No one can positively say that the Steel Blue is a hybrid, although it certainly is not a fish found in the wild. It could be a color enhanced strain of a caetei-complex species or a cross between a caetei-complex species and a resticulosa-complex species. The original breeders of this fish, in southeast Asia, aren't saying.
