Been gone for a long while from this forum, moved to the US, got married, am studying for a master's, etc. But figured I needed to have a few Apistogrammmas to remind me of my youth.

Question is how to find some good species. I just ordered Apistogramma Sp. Rio Mamoré from the LFS and am hoping they are trifasciata group fish rather than regani.

I looked on aquabid and all of the ones I was interested were from Thailand.

Any online seller that is trustworthy and stocks some cool apistos?

Welcome back Hudson. Brazilian apistos are not as commonly available as those from Peru. Have you checked Wet Pet in Portland OR? They often have less common species.

Since I posted this I did some searching and found Wet Pet! I may make an order from them soon, but I am going to see how the Rio Mamoré apistos come in tomorrow.
Good to see you are still around Mike Wise! It's been a while! Any new A. cf. Salpinction collected?

Bobblehead, I live in Lexington KY right now

No, no salpintion. As far as I know you are the only one who ever had them.

Right now the Apistogramma sp. Tefe at The Wet Spot are very nice, and the A. panduro as well. Anything you are looking for in particular?

Thanks for letting me know. Do you have a picture of the A. sp. Tefe?
Not looking for panduro so much.
I just got a erythrura, which I am excited about.
    Looking for anything similar to
    A. paucisquamis
    mendezi
    gephyra
    wild agassizi
    abacaxi
but I would definitely be interested in other species.
Just fyi, I have found A. mendezi at Wet Spot, I am working on putting through an order. Apistogrammas are not as cheap as they were in Brazil (50 cents, or free if you had a net)

I have a juvinile pair of wild agassizi if you’re interested. I also have borelli bella union, agassizi fire red, cacatoides orange and red and a big wild male, I also have a mystery species that no one can seem to identify. I’m having 12 pairs of hongsloi red shipping in on Tuesday. If you have any interest at all just email me at [email protected]

Off topic....... Thanks for the link to those pictures. I've been wanting to confirm that I had actual sp. Tefe. It seems I have a tank full. All of the males look just like the pictures. It's kind of rough getting rid of them due to the water parameters needed for them to be happy. Luckily the males are keeping the population down by snacking on fry.

Got any more pictures of the agassizis?

I probably am not interested in honglsoi, though they are pretty cool!

Thanks Mike for the information, that Apistogramma is beautiful.
