Quick question:
Can or will Apisotgramma Agassizii double red spawns pop out fire reds?
I had my first spawn of double reds a little while back, and now that I am growing them out, what I thought were females actually are beginning to look to me like super or fire reds.
The adult female of my pair is yellow/orange in color with a lateral stripe. While the young fish in question are overall reddish colored with a ting of purple under the dorsal fin (they look a lot like the fire reds I have).
I know these are color variants of the same fish, but I was just wondering if they are like caradina shrimp, in that mix-genetics lines can pop out a range of color variants.
Any insight would be greatly appreciated.
