Hey all!
My name's John, and I will soon be venturing into the world of apistogrammas, so I thought I'd join and do a little research. I'm not new to fish, as I've kept their larger cousins for quite some time, and kept/bred a couple of dwarf species (Ram, lamprologus), and been in fishkeeping for quite a few years.
Current project:
Building an acrylic tank, 30x16x16, that will have two 8" walls cordoning off two irregular sections for land and plants for an amazon river basin paludarium setup. I'll have two holes drilled to drain the root area of the planting section, and then another hole drilled for overflow for an under tank filtration system of some sort. (Haven't decided on a small wet/dry or canister yet, leaning towards a miniature w/d system).
There will be about 10 gallons of usable free water, but with surface area equivalent to...maybe a 20L.
I'm taking photos as I go, I'll update a page when I get closer to being finished.
Oh, personally, I do computer programming and teach martial arts.
