I figured I'd post them here and not in the thread I started elsewhere to keep the images together. Yes, I know.... clean the glass before taking pics.

Nope, I've had dwarfs around for years. In fact, my last norberti I have is a male F1 that's getting close to 6 years old now. I've always loved the little fish. It's just lately when I want to get more into them, the local area is a bit devoid of any good apistos (except cacatuoides which I've done already).

He probably is at least 6. I searched the apisto list archives for the thread I started asking about the water parameters needed to spawn norberti. I remember stating I had hard water and was told they wouldn't hatch. They did, but not alot. I can't find that particular thread, however, I did find the one about my bitaneatas I got around the same time frame. That was back in 1998. I figure I bred the norberti in 1999. So that would make him 6-7 years old. I'm quite surprised at how well he still is doing. *knock on wood*

I hear ya about local availability. I've ordered fish from Oliver before through a local club but it seems there hasn't been an order with him for awhile as most of the Haligonians seem to be very focussed on African cichlids. Any sources in Ontario, perhaps around the Toronto area, for dwarf cichlid sellers?

I didn't really have too much room. Am in the process of clearing other stuff out to give them the proper space they need. They aren't kept badly. It's just if they do breed anytime soon, I can't save any fry.
