-what is ok and what isnt?

-can you pick some from your back yard?

-maybe a silly question, but would indian almond leaves be in SA and thus be suitable for a SA biotope aquarium?

Yes you can pick leaves from your backyard, but I understand it's important to only take the ones that have naturally fallen from a tree. Some things have been discussed here recently.

I also like this story on leaves in the aquarium:

According to wikipedia, the indian almond tree is native to Asia but has recently been introduced in South-America. Anyway a lot of people use it in SA tanks because of it's beneficial effects on the water.
