hello everyone! i just have a few questions.

can i use Prunus cerasifera leaves in a tank? what about sweetgum? ive looked all over the internet and i cant find an answer. i dont really want to test it out if its actually poisonous.

Both should be fine, as in Prunus the poisonous parts are the seeds, while the sweetgum resin was used as chewing gum.
In both cases, make sure only to take brown, dead and fallen leaves. Any green or yellow colouration is not good for use in aquaria.

If you want to make sure only use species that are known to be safe.

Yeah I would be very careful here when experimenting with new plant leaves.
Maybe experiment on a betta tank or something similar and then try it on your big tank. I can't imagine coping with the loss if something happens!
