The A. trifasciata look like the form from the Río Paraguay/Pantanal region. The ío RGuaporé populations show a less distinct diagonal stripe and more honey color on the back. The other fish appears to be a resticulosa-complex species, not a caetei-complex species. Did these come in as "Apistogramma caetei Xingu"? Looking at the shape of the caudal spot, your fish look very much like A 9 in the DATZ book - A. taeniata (Xingu).
