Hello, my name is shangman (aka Rosie), from London.
I thought I'd join here cos I keep Apistogramma Macmasteri Red Mask - I got my first tank in 25 years last June, then my dad gave me a single male Mac cos it was too big for his nano tank (Mr Apister), who I then bought a female bride for, they then spawned, then she killed the male, a day later she brought out some tiny fry, and now several months later I have 36+ 3cm babies and a feisty motherfish. I've really enjoyed the experience of helping raise them, apistos are definitely my favourite fish.
I am a member of UKAPS, and on UKAPS I often see @dw1305 mentioning this forum, so I thought I'd have a look here too.
Once my babies are grown, I'll be setting up 2 big tanks (the babies are growing out in one right now), which will both have different apistos in them (and maybe some dicrossus!!). One tank for the macs, one for another fabulous species.
Looking forward to meeting more apisto keepers
