This condition is not uncommon in apistos. The jaw locks open. Trying to physically unlock the jaw almost always results in a broken jaw. Your best option is to let her try to unlock it herself. In this condition the fish is unable to feed itself and most slowly starve. If you see this happen it probably is best to humanely euthanize the fish.
