Collecting fish

Hey all,
I will be goin on a collecting trip to peru in august with George Fear and the margarita tour company and this will be my first trip. I am going to hike up to the Inca ruins for a week before i go collecting. I am just looking for anyone with personal suggustions from people who have been collecting or know any helpful tips.

We will be focusing on areas off the main rivers of the Rio Tigre/Rio Maranon. Mainly we will be at the Rio Maranon and alittle at the Rio Tigre. The focus on the trip is to bring back fish from poorly collected areas. My hope is we will find some apisto's that we dont see too often.

Thats awesome. I've looked into Margarita Tours before out of curiosity as collecting your own fish seems like like a really awesome adventure. I have went with George a couple of times. He knows his way around that place! Try to visit Julio Melgars place while you are down there. Good times!
