This is a 15 gallon planted tank and was just wondering if it is good enough for a pair of cacotoides 7 dwarf pencilfish and 4 otocinclus

Hi all,
Have a look at Bob Wiltshire's pages on <"Aquarium Care">, they are a great place to start.

It would be pretty fully stocked. Otocinclus aren't the easiest fish to keep, you would need to <"supplementary feed them"> with vegetables etc.. If you were going to add them, I would let the tank mature a lot more, and you would need some broad leaved plants as well.

The tank is just a bit bare, you really need to break up line of sight etc. I like a lot of plants, but you can also use structural leaf litter etc. I'm really keen on a floating plant as well. I use it both to improve water quality and to act as a visual clue to whether the plants need feeding. Have a look for <"Duckweed Index">.

cheers Darrel
