Aloha all, well after many spawns I realized that the addition of my panda cories to the tank was not healthy for my female Borellii. The young pair was having the eggs eaten by them so the male was constantly trying to get her to spawn again. He didn't know it takes time to make more eggs to do that. I had not planned on this being a breeding tank, but realized now that I should not to have had any bottom feeders in their tank. I saw other setups online where this seemed to work, but my pair just didn't know how to deal with the happy and persistent cories all over the place nature. It saddens me to think my ignorance was the cause of her early death :( I write this to be sure others realize how fragile they can be. Love these sweet apistos, they were a great pair. My male seems fine alone now, he did look for her for a few days. he is king of the tank and watches my every move.
