I got an aquarium sized 80x40x40h. Is it possible to feed 1 male and 2 female Apistogamma Bitaeniata in it? Is the size of my aquarium gonna be enough for them? I heard that Bitaeniatas have harsh attitudes, can they live without problem in this sized aquarium?
Yes, it is large enough for 3 A. bitaeniata if it is properly decorated to form at least 3 different territories. I never found the attitudes of A. bitaeniata especially harsh. I think it is moderate among the apistos.
It's suitable size for Bitaeniatas. When I have more than 3 apistos in the same tank, I usually put more pipes or flower pots than the number of apistos for them, especially when breeding.
