Apistogramma iniridae?

Hello all, I just yesterday aquarired a pair of what I think is either uaupesi, or iniridae.

They were sold as wild caught “hongsloi” which is incorrect and I saw some others in a tank with wild caught “hoignei” which I believe to have been macmasteri,
I purchased a male and what I thought was a female, I am not certain if they are the same species and what type of Apistogramma they actually are.

The male has displayed to the female, (which seems like a sign that they are the same species but I would like that confirmed) and he looks remarkably similar to iniridae but I though males are less blue so I am puzzled.

all the information I have is that they were WC from Colombia, thanks!

The first 2 images are of the female, the seen one 2 are of the male I’ll try to get better photos with the male displaying tomorrow if need be.

You are right, photo 3 & 4 is a male A. iniridae. 1 & 2 is a macmasteri-group species, but I'm not able to tell more precisely what it might be.

Ahh thanks, that’s what I sadly suspected. What do females look like So I can get one when I’m at the store next?
They look similar to males, but have a lower dorsal fin, less extended ventral fins and the soft parts of dorsal and anal fins are usually rounded rather than pointed or extended.

Hey all I returned the female and got a new one on Tuesday and now have eggs, this is quite surprising and I really didn’t expect spawning this quickly.
