I’m taking a shot in the dark here because I see a lot of people posting some very interesting articles, but I’m curious if anyone has anything on the history of breeding A. cacatuoides? To be more specific, it’s fascinating to me looking at the comparison of wild caught fish to the “paint jobs” you see today, and what it took to get there.

Are you looking for somesthing scientific or a documentation over time? While it would be really interesting, I fear there is at best something about domestic strains in Apistos in general, not for A. cacatuoides alone. Maybe if you do picture searches and add a year?

Good idea, thank you. I was thinking documentation over time of the transformation of the species in the hobby. I will try searches with the year.
