Update. The tank has a new set-up for the Fish in it. Almost no plants anymore but more wood in it.
Also added oak- and beech leaves and also some catappa leaves.

At this moment no dwarfcichlids in the tank, but they will return in the tank.
Thinking of adding Apistogramma to the tank.

Fish in this tank are:

14 Corydoras robineae
20 Hypoptopoma sp. (7 H. gulare, 8 H. inexspectatum, 3 H. sp3 and 2 H. sp2)
7 Pterophyllum leopoldi
5 Biotodoma cupido
4 Hemiloricaria sp.
2 Lasiancistrus sp.
2 L066
1 Panaqulos sp.

Picture of the tank.

It needs indeed Apistogramma in it. But I'm also looking for creating a biotope of either the Rio Essequibo or Rio Nanay basin.
This based on the fact the I want to keep the Biotodoma cupido and the Pterophyllum leopoldi. Both are found in both basin. That Also has te mean that i have to remove some fishspecies to a other tank, or have to sell some species.

I think I saw a blonde native Amazonian at the middle of the video for a brief moment. I must be seeing things. :D Glorious aquarium, fish and child! :p Just the floating leaf clusters are looking a little weird right now.

Beautiful tank!

Do you get any fry with all those Tetra´s around?
And nice to see some M. thoracatum around! Those things will eat anything!

Had to get rid of them when Apistos moved in. Miss those guys greatly...

Thanks.

It all depends on how good the parents are for their juveniles. I had juveniles sp. Erdfresser in this tank. The Megalechis are still small ones, but I’ll have to see if I keep them. The same with Brachyrhamdia meesi. I’ve read stories of both species that are able to get some small fish.

But I love it when I put food in the tank. Both species will get to the food as quick as possible.
