    Conductivity rise

The problem seems to have gone away all by itselft.. I don't know how really, but after my latest water change (saturday) I haven't seen the previous rise in conductivity. But still thanks to all of you for being helpful trying to figure this out :)

    Conductivity rise

I feed them with frozen daphnia (I get rid of as much of the water as possible), FD black worms and newly hatched brine shrimps. And yes I rinse the brine shrimps a few times before feeding with them. Normally the conductivity in the tank is about 157 and when I do the water changes this is...

    Conductivity rise

My RO water has a conductivity of 6 as it has always been, and as I mentioned the only thing I've added is food and a ketapang leaf once in a while. And of course I've been doing the regular water changes. The driftwood that I've got in the tank has been there for a little more than a year...

    Conductivity rise

Currently I have T. candidi as the only fish. I have one pair where they regularly spawn, however, I've only seen fry once. I believe that it is because my conductivity has started to slowly rise. When I had the eggs hatch a couple of months ago, which was when they spawned for the first time...

Didn't have time to raise the last spawn (final exam project going on in school), but there's eggs once again. And I actually do have time now. Since this is my first time breeding dwarfcichlids, I've got to ask kind of a stupid question.. Would it be okay to do waterchanges while the female...

    Aquarium International - New Edition

Well would prefer to just pay with some kind of card, mastercard or something like that. But figured out another way to buy it, so it's all good. :)

    Aquarium International - New Edition

Would like to read the two articles about Betta tussyae and Doryichthys martensii, but seems like the only way to pay is by using paypal?

Just wanted to throw in a couple of pictures I took today.. They're the best I could manage. My water is really dark and they're fast. And as a bonus I had a reflection of some kind. Couldn't figure out what caused the reflection.

Seems like they're gonna have a go at it again. Female is back in the black colors, and been like that since wendnsday this week. Hoping for a larger spawn and that I'll be able to raise them this time...

kH is about 0 and same goes for gH and my pH is 5.6. But yea my conductivity is quite high, which was what I thought could have affected the size of the spawn.

Figured that may have affected the size of the spawn as well, but I'm at about 170 µS. So lowering the conductivity should probably be my goal.

You're probably right, but was afraid to do waterchanges while the fry was that small because the female tends to get really stressed when I do the waterchanges. And I've been wondering why the spawn was so small. Could it be that my waterparameters still aren't right? Or is it just because...

Haven't done any waterchanges while the fry have been free swimming, but suppose it could have happened anyway. But yea.. I'll keep feeding them lots of bbs and live mosquito larvae, aswell as some freezedried australian blackworms which actually seems to be one of their favorites. And then...

    Taeniacara Candidi

Afraid that the fry is dead.. The female is swimming around the tank like she normally would and she's being chased around by the male.. No clue what could have done it.. They always had little orange bellies so they didn't seem to starve. But of course it's also her first spawn, even though...

Got a couple of pipettes yesterday, and it worked perfectly fine. So thanks for the suggestions ! :)

Will get a couple of pipettes as soon as possible then, and then I'll try it out. Thanks for the answer ! :)

So anyone knows of a way to make sure they get some of the brine shrimps? I'm not really sure if the fry is able to get the brine shrimp, thought of trying to use a syringe. But not sure if it's possible to get the brine shrimps in a syringe..

    Taeniacara Candidi

There's now free swimming fry in the tank ! :D I've spotted two so far, and they were hovering over some of the leaves in the tank protected by the male. Don't know if there's more than the two of them, but I'm hoping for it, of course. Is there any good way to make sure that they get the newly...

Does anyone know if the fry can take brineshrimps when they are free swimming (believe it's a siberian strain from Kulundinskoe Lake)? Or should I start getting some infusoria ready? The fry will stay in the tank, so they can possibly pick off some microorganisms on the decor.
