Some action in the apistogramma tank, when the adult fishes got food, one of the fry saw its opportunity to run away from the rest of the fry.
Mom sees the runaway
Not easy to get hold of
taste of freedom :)
Finally mom got her fry and bring it safely back to the rest of the fry.
Before buying wild caught Apistogramma norberti I read online and in books that this was a very shy apisto, so i arranged the thank with lots of hideouts and floating plants so it would feel safe.
But to my surprise it was not shy at all and almost never hides in all the nice hiding spots i...

Hi
Is there anywhere I can find a list of the diffrent sizes on the various Apistogramma?
I have been looking in books and online, and found information on the size of some of them,
and others only say this is one of the larger apistogramma or medium size and so on.

Hi
I have a group of young apistogramma trifasciata, its just over 20 that had survived (they are around 8 months old).
My question is how well do “sneaker males” manage to hide in a group of this size? And
how well do they manage to imitate females?
I am fully aware of the possibility...
Is it possible to see from a picture what location a Apistogramma bitaeniata comes from? Or do the bitaeniata from the different locations look very similar?
Iv seen pictuers of A. bitaeniata from Rio Tigre, that is very different from the ones i have. I dont know the location of my VF A...
Two days ago i bought 4 Apistogramma trifasciata, when catching the fish one of the female Apistogramma trifasciata burrowed itself down the sand.
I have never seen a Apistogramma do this before, is this someting Apistogramma does or was it just a fluke?
