    Keeping and Breeding A. Ortegai

The above is the picture associated with the fish, and it is tank raised with the name A. Sp. Cf. Pebas I believe. So it's likely A. Amoena? Thanks! Considering getting a pair.

    Keeping and Breeding A. Ortegai

I am resurrecting this thread because A. sp. pebas is available from wetspot. Am I correct in understanding that this species is really the result of transplanting nonnative fish through human action?

Thanks for letting me know. Do you have a picture of the A. sp. Tefe? Not looking for panduro so much. I just got a erythrura, which I am excited about. Looking for anything similar to A. paucisquamis mendezi gephyra wild agassizi abacaxi but I would definitely be interested in other species...

    US Apistogrammmas availability

Been gone for a long while from this forum, moved to the US, got married, am studying for a master's, etc. But figured I needed to have a few Apistogrammmas to remind me of my youth. Question is how to find some good species. I just ordered Apistogramma Sp. Rio Mamoré from the LFS and am hoping...

    Full Boa Vista Trip

I finally found a TFH article on A. wapisana written by Anthony Conrad, I found it very interesting especially since I had been to 2 of the four listed type localities and found them in abundance. My A. wapisana are doing well and I will fish monday at Itapiranga. I have fished there before and...

    Full Boa Vista Trip

Wow thanks a lot. I will have to wait a few months before making a positive ID I find it interesting how the A. wapisana were almost always found in groups, sometimes in shoals. even in the aquarium they are always together in the open, while the gibbiceps/roraimae stay in the driftwood. I...

    ID apistogramma agasizii

Both are females, it would help a lot if you could get shots of a male. They look like agassizis to me but I am far from an expert at this.
