Hi all.
After my A. Agassizii suffered with Callamanus I'm concerned for the other fish in the tank. Being in the UK I'm finding it impossible to find Levamisole so I ordered Sera Nematole in hope it will work.
However, I have read many articles that say Callamanus is pretty much resistant to...
The only help I can give you is with the lip locking. Usually this is the last stage of aggression when two fish are of equal size and strength. The winner will claim his territory and the loser will usually be unharmed. Unfortunately the victor can claim the whole of the tank as his own and...
Hi Mike.
I finally mustered enough courage to do a large water change and pull the cave out of the tank to see what was up with him. Unfortunately he looked rather frail and his rear end was full of Callamanus. That must have happened so quickly, poor little thing. I've never seen or had it...
Thanks Mike Wise. His back isn't curved like a boomerang but it is noticeable. He's always had a little bit of a pot belly but he always seemed happy and was eating well. I don't have a quarantine tank set up right now but it wouldn't take me 5 minutes to move the lemon tetra and the female...
I've never noticed before but the male in question seems to have a very slight arch to his shape and a slightly puffy belly. (Arched as in the centre of his back is the highest point) I'm trying to research to see if there's an issue of some kind.

As already pointed out, Maidenhead aquatics also stock them.
Cheers,
Steve.
Hi all.
I have introduced myself in the correct section but just in case you don't see it, I'm Steve. :)
I'm very pleased to have found this forum as I'm concerned about one of my males. I have two pairs of A. Agassizii and they couldn't be more different in their temperament. In my main tank...
Good to be here and I hope I can learn more about our little cichlid friends.
My name "ambidextrous" was chosen because I can mess anything up with both hands. ;) My real name is Steve.
I look forward to chatting with you in due course.
