So the males jaw is still stuck open. Been treating with malachite green and the bumps on him seem to have gone. Females head is getting worse though, hole in the head or something? Sorry if the pic is a bit blurry. Not having much luck with these guys!

Thanks for all of the replies, loads of good info in there! I've found that my apistos take Dr Bassleer (http://www.bassleer.com/fish_food_biofish) quite readily, everything from the 'regular' to garlic and acai, but it's slightly more difficult to find online than some more recognised brands...

If the OP is competent enought to understand and complete a fish in cycle, I think we can all assume they understand the impact of water parameters :) I still vote worms.
Oh and good shout with the QT tank by the way, can be difficult to find the space (or convince the other half) that you need an extra tank just to hold new fish for a while, but it's worth it! Is that sand or gravel in the bottom there? Can't make it out.
