i've kept and bred many cichlids before just not apistos, i thought maybe given enough relative space they could defend their fry better
thanks anyway, it looks like a cist or growth of some sort, i've never seen anything like this so ill start with daily water changes hopefully it will go away

hey guys, in about a months time i'm hoping to shuffle some fish around and set up a 4x2x2 tank for my apisto's, the tank would only be filled up half way and i hope to grow some emersed plants around the back and sides

hey guys, noticed this lump on my female borelli, never seen anything like this its kind of under the dorsal and from what i can tell its symetrical, the fish is still about 2cm big so its really hard to see let alone photograph, as she keeps her distance fro the front of the tank

she appears to have spawned on the underside of an indian alond leaf :D looks like about 30-50 eggs not as many as i hoped for but its something, now i just gotta hope the ale actually fertalised them
i can't say, at a guess i'd assume he was at the shop for 2-4 months and probably spent 4-6 months growing out before that, and then 2 weeks at y house :) but then again this is a guess heres some pictures maybe they will help

my female agasizzi is so keen to spawn that her egg tube is down and she's going upside down displaying trying to get his attention, but he's too busy looking at other (not interesting) things to notice!
