A darker substrate helps them feel at home even more. Natural cave like formations out of wood and rocks further makes them comfortable, especially the females. Dense vegetation helps too. I have a Java fern, plus a few Crypto varieties also planted, including tropica and parva.
Thank you for the input and the suggestions. If I set up the tank with dense vegetation, many cave formations and in a way where I could split the tank that aids territorial formations, can it work out having these two different pairs of Agassizi strain in this tank? Is there a possibility?
I'm attempting my first Apisto tank, a 15 gallon one, where I intend to home 4 Agassizi - 2 are double red and the other 2 golden. I'm not sure how that would turn out. Trying my best to give it a dense vegetation and plenty of wood and rocks with as much natural cave formations as possible.
