    help please.... rainbow cichlid??

I've found that common names vary as much as colors on fish. I'm no expert so if I can't verify the species from the research I've done and the LFS doesn't have them marked scientific names or can't tell me, I don't buy them. Kyle

    stinking rams!

I understand the moving around part but I couldn't help it since they kept fighting. well, my 65 is fully cycled so I moved all my inhabitants from the 29 gallon into the 65 including the remaining ram and it seems to be doing great. It is definitely not intimidated by any of the larger fish...

    stinking rams!

2 dead, one to go. the second of the original purchase was found dead behind some rocks after work. the other seems to be doing good in the 29 with an angel and rainbows. once the nitrites hit 0 in the 65, I'll start moving those fish over from the 29. I'll keep this ram and just see what...

    stinking rams!

I'm still trying my best to successfully keep a ram more than a couple weeks but they sure don't make it easy. My first ram was a gold ram and ended up in my 55 gallon community tank. within 24 hours, he had become friends with an orange lyretail molly and schooled with them and fed topwater...

    multiple dwarf species together?

I have a 65 that has several plants (not heavily like some of you) on a sandy substrate with a few pots, a hermit crab house (half coconut shell) and used some flatrock to fashion some short wall dividers and caves on the other part of the tank. it will house many species of rainbows, a single...

Anyone bought fish from Armkes Rare Aquarium Fish?

I just walked through their store on may 8th and I was very impressed with their selection and setup. they are not finished setting up the store so some parts were still a mess and their employees were running around like a bunch of brokers on wall-street filling phone orders so I was doing my...

    Image Poll Started

for some reason I can't seem to vote on the poll but here's how I feel. Sometimes a photo is necessary in a post if you are trying to find out information concerning something that is hard to describe and you don't have a site you can put the pictures on for a link. I do however have a problem...

    Apisto's in Oklahoma or Texas?

hey everyone, I'm new here so I don't really know anyone yet. I may be getting a trio of cockatoo's or something in the near future and wanted to know if anyone has any or knows of a place I can get some in an area closeby. I live near Oklahoma City but regularly travel down I-35 to Laredo...

    apisto's with my angel?

sounds good. the angel keeps to herself right now but she's young so that could change. I hope that since it'll be full of rainbows and such that are constantly moving, it'll keep the angel busy and un-interested in the dwarf's I end up with. I'm not too set on raising fry although it would...

    apisto's with my angel?

hey fellas, just stumbled across your website and am hoping you can be of more help than some of the other more varied sites. I've got a 65 gallon tank I just set up and it's going through its cycle. I used about 2-3" of pool filter sand across about 2/3 of the floor and gravel for the...
