  • Ed,

I was at Interzoo and just returned. (Better to always write directky to my e-mail).
The best place to collect there is in upper Cambodia, towards the border with Laos and the tributaries of Tonle Sap the giant lake - but move away from the lake as there is to much population and polution.
There are very intersting loaches (Botia, I found a bright red fin one, almost unbelievable in colours, in in my aqua geographia magazine), but also cyprinids, some very small ones, as well as labirinth fishes, Parosphromenus beauties you will find in small bodies of water. But many more.

    Have agood trip,

    always

    Heiko,

I'm wondering if you can help me? I'm planning a trip to Cambodia for the end of the rainy season. I was originally thinking of visiting Thailand again but with the disruptions going on there I decided to go elsewhere.

While in Cambodia I want to do some collecting and would like some information on what items to take. I know that in Thailand it was easy to cheaply stock up on the neccessities for collecting and then shipping fish and plants back to Tokyo. Do you have any contacts there and where would you recommend collecting?

Thanks for any assistance you can give me and I'm looking forward to your reply.

    Ed
