So I have 4 Apistos of one type. 2 Apistos of another type. 6 cherry barbs , 8 green neon tetras and 4 blue rams in a 200l tank with dragon rocks and various plants. Will they be okay together ?
Considering the presumable footprint of the tank... hard to tell. Do you have a picture of the tank?
I really appreciate your response , Thankyou , I’ll be sure to get some more structure and hardscapeWith that many cichlids in a tank like that you could have a disaster just waiting to happen, your tank is very barren even though it has rocks and a piece of driftwood i highly recommend at least tripling it. With most species of dwarf cichlid that tank in my opinion should be at least 70% plants, driftwood and rocks.
sight-blocks are key when having apistos and rams, giving your fish places to hide from each other is a very good way to keep them much less stressed. Adding more drifwood and rocks would be a good place to start.
I have kept 9 adult dwarf cichlids in a 200l (bolivian rams, and agassizi), It was okay for a while but i still had cases of aggression and no breeding. This was only 2 species of fish and my tank was well structured. if you can manage to add more plants and hardscape you could likely be able to keep all those fish in your tank.

You should definitely more structure and hardscape in your aquarium, as well as consider removing one species in your tank, hope this helps
BothAre the apisto all males or do you have female and males ?
I kept these for a while, and the males are <"really aggressive"> for a small fish, much more aggressive <"than A. cacatuoides">.4 steel blues
