Stunning pair of WC Apistogramma sp. Shaly!!!

This is my mated pair of WC Apistogramma sp. Shaly, the female is ready for a next spawn!!!

A rarely seen species anymore because wildcaught specimens are expensive to collect. They were originally sold under the name A. sp. Roca Fuerte. The more colorful morph with red in the caudal were later offered as A. sp. Shaly. TomC, Julio Melgar and I collected specimens of the fish along the border of Peru and Ecuador in 2012.
