Pencil Fish with other tetras

I have had my group of 30 Nannostomus marginatus for 7-8 months that are fat and happy. I want to add a different type of tetra that will help control the number of Apistogramma baenschi fry. The tank is a six foot 125 gallon.

What tetra would not take the show from the marginatus, but still eat some apisto fry? I like watching the marginatus display and fuss. I don't want a tetra that will cause them to hide.

The parents and older siblings will do that for you, if you don't remove the fry. Either the parents will chase and attack their older kids to death when they've got new fry to protect, or the older fry (if not beaten to shreds) will probably eat their younger siblings. I would plan on removing fry and giving them away when the adult pair starts getting snappy at them. Apistos are usually not hard to find new homes for. If you want some other interesting tetras anyway, consider emperor, kerri, red phantom, black neon, rummynose, glowlight, ...
