Hello
I have a pair in a 20g planted with caves, driftwood etc. I have had these guys about a week and they were together before I got them. They have been fine together but since I did a water change of 20% today the male has been aggressively chasing the female almost constantly. All water testing is good. I had originally had Cardinal Tetras with them but he began to chase them as well and did kill one so I moved them to my community tank about three days ago. Should I also remove her or will he settle down? Thanks for any help...new to cichlids.

The safe thing to do would be to insert a divider in the middle, so they can still see and smell each other, and keep them apart until the female turns yellow and is showing interest in the male, then remove the divider. It might take just a couple weeks, or maybe months.
