Another Tank Mate Question

Okay here's my setup:

20L
trio of cacatuoides
2 cardinal tetras
4 pygmy ottos
1 baby whale fish

several 3" terra cotta pots and various swords, ferns, and oak leaves for shelter.

I'm hoping to breed the cacatuoides and I'm wondering if perhaps I should remove the baby whale fish?

Thanks.

I would. I know nothing of baby whales, but any fish that has not been shown to have a good place with apistos (especially in a breeding setting), should probably not so concerned with the ultimate success of their Apistogramma. The rest of your tank sounds great. Why take the chance, unless you get a post from some who say that they know it will be no problem. And, even then, I would be skeptical, because anyone that says they know something will be no problem hasn't had enough experience- as funny as that sounds!

Thanks for the helpful info as always Neil. That seems to be the general concensous. I suppose I'll start looking for a good home for it; or yet another tank. 8)
