I picked up a m/f pair from my LFS this past weekend and I have my suspicions about this "female". I'm 100% sure the male is a male but I'm pretty sure this "female" is also a male. Opinions?
It's never easy to say on domestic red strains of A. cacatuodes. Females can show many traits of males. My guess is that it's a male, based on the pointed tips of the dorsal, anal and caudal fins. How much size difference is there between the male and this fish? What kind off behaviors do they show to each other?
