2.5 month old Ram fry okay without food for one day?

I guess the subject says it all. I have to leave for most of this weekend, but I have a 2.5 month group of GBR fry (about 50) that I'm worried about.

Both of my usual fish sitters are busy this weekend and I'm stumped to find someone that I trust to feed them. I can feed them heavily on Friday and then feed them on Sunday afternoon/evening. So they'll have to go a little over 1.5 days without food.

Do you think they'll be okay?

I think the majority will be just fine. Probably they all will. If you have any plants with major algae issues that might help! but I've left for longer periods while they were that young and lost maybe 5% of the smallest ones. (I left for 3 days...)

PS, you know you might beef them up on some new hatched bbs on Friday. That might last longer in their tummies than flakes.

To be honest, I've never fed this batch any kind of prepared food. All they've had are bbs, microworms, grindal worms and blackworms. I don't even think they'd recognize flake food as food.

That's part of the problem. Finding someone who doesn't mind feeding live food

Like Cathy said micro-organisms on plants or even an established sponge filter will get them through this period just fine.
