for that large of a tank with alot of fishes you need to supply alot of filtration ..having to much nitrosomonas and nitrobacter bacteria will do more good than harm your fish... iwould think about gettin an 150 gpd portable r/o unit with an aquatec 8800 series booster pump if your faucet...

yah im really interested in getting some german blues that are from breeders and not farm raised also looking for wild caught german blues...they usually dont have the wonderful colors that farm raised ones usually have due to hormones being use for reproduction and growth at an earlier rate...
what i would do is use r/o product water....add seachem cichlid salt not cichlid lake salt cause it is use for african cichlids....and see the water chemistry..it should raised the kh and gh a bit...keep ading unltil the desired levels show for kh and gh....making sure your Gh dont go higher...
