    There are probably 30 emails back and forth. These were all prior to receiving the fish. Once the fish came, we only exchanged 2 emails regarding the money he owed me. Then nothing.

    Haven't found anyone in Canada that can get females + males. The few places around here (I'm in Van too), have only been able to get in males. Nothing rare... just eunotus, cockatoo, agasizzii

    I think people that sell things on here should be held accountable. I used this forum to find someone to buy from, and the transaction was a complete disaster. I would very much like to be able to let people know how my experience went, so they don't get stuck ordering from the same crook...

    No extensions, just a little bit of red coloring on the top/bottom. A yellow one I picked out thinking it was a female turned out to be a male. It has lots of black on it's ventrals, but definitely has extensions also.

    The top fish is definitely a FEMALE. The males in the tank were all triple reds, so I'm just assuming that would mean the female is a triple red too. The bottom fish has YELLOW fins.. It looks a bit more orange in the pic then it actually is. It's definitely yellow, not red or orange...

    Apistogramma nijsseni in a 10 gallon?

    We didn't have good luck with nijsseni in a 10g.. We have had luck with cockatoos in 10gs though. Just my experience with them.

    Bolivian Bling!

    Very nice... We had some bad luck trying the dorsal sexing technique.. We ended up with 4 males.. We thought we had 1m 3f.. Finally figured it out a bit better and ended up finding a female.

    Opinion on these books?

    We have this book ''Aqualog Extra: The Latest Apistogramma by Dieter Bork'' It is mostly pictures of males/females of a variety of species. No paragraphs of info or anything like that. Just very basic requirements in the form of symbols with a legend to refer to at the back of the book.
