They are usually sex able when they reach 5cm to 6cm. However, they need to pair off naturally. Hence even you gotten a male and female, it doesn't mean they will live in harmony and spawn for you.
Currently this is their second brood of eggs that hatched. First brood to reach this stage. Current head count should be approx. 40 pieces, size around 1+cm
Anyone seen this situation? My WC Adoketas fries had been split into 2 nest. One herd by father, another herd by mother. Current tankmates 3 pcs of dwarf pencilfish and 2 pcs of L183 starlight pleco.
Did not really test the water.
Using ADA aqua soil, top with sudo cory sand.
Temp: 26- 28
Filtration: Ehiem classic 2215 with ceramic rings, ehiem substrate pro and peat.
Hi all, I bought a pair of Adoketas initially. Lost the supposed male due to a choking saga. Male Adoketa attempt to swallow an Oto.
Bought a replacement. Can anyone enlightened me whether i am having a pair. Currently, he is very aggressive anything except his current tankmate.
Will charge...
Initial stage of putting the pair in 1 tank, the male was chasing the female aggressively. After about a month or so, the aggression went down. Now they are happily in the tank with no tankmates. Had killed all tankmate put in the tank.
