    Cryptoheros question

Nature Pet Centre in Lasalle(Quebec) are pretty good at getting a wide variety of cichlids and other kinds of fish you don't normally get elsewhere. The guy that orders the fish is good friends with Oliver Lucanus and knows alot about what he orders, he goes direct and cuts out the middle man...

    Cryptoheros question

I could not get a positive id on the fish, Iam sure they will be there when I go back next week. Myrnae does look like a name on the tank and the fish I looked up on the web seem to resemble it more than the others you both mentioned.

    Cryptoheros question

I don't know if this would be considered a dwarf question but also on my trip to the fish store I saw a Cryptoheros species marked "Blue eye" The fish was gray with alittle blue to it, bluish gray I guess, it had really blue eyes and was shaped like a convict. None of the fish looked any...

    Pelvicachromis pulcher

It's funny you say that, when I bought these so called wild caught pulchers(meaning they didn't look much different than tank raised) there was a subocellatus female in the same tank so I bought her to go with my male. Odd thing about that fish was when her partner died she tried to pair up with...

    The difference between?

I know Bolivian Rams are difficult to sex, my pictures don't really do anything because they are on the move. The two Bolivian Rams basically hang out, one has more red/orange on his/her stomach and has two spots on his/her sides and the other has less orange/red on his/her stomach and just one...

    Microgeophagus ramirezi: red?

Man I just saw one of those today, I told the guy in charge he should not support buying fish like that...but that might be like talking to a brickwall...same store has cacatuoides in with haplochromis ahli species...the poor apistos had there tails all shredded, the one male looked like crap...

Iam a member on a few forums, but here I seem to have a problem staying logged in. When I go away for a few minutes and come back. I notice that Iam not signed in. hemichromis

I do remember when I had some large South American cichlids, I did buy a few jewels most of them looked alike not knowing much. In the end I only had one left, the fish was about 4 inches long and had managed to survive and kill off the rest of the jewels. Then one day I saw this Jewel that...

    fish acting weird

Could be anything to be honest... Has there been any changes in the water ie temperature, pH, hardness etc? It could be ammonia, have you tested your water lately? or maybe even a broken heater...I suggest testing your water first it sounds water quality related

    The difference between?

what a difference a day makes, the two Bolivians are now subject to tennis ball between the two Ramirez territories...Iam gonna rearrange everything. I've kept Ramirez before with Kribs and they stayed away from them...I thought Bolivian Rams were alittle more aggressive...if after rearranging...
