Hi everyone
I just came back from the LFS and they have a number of fish labelled as A. panduro.
Some of the fish look like the traditional A. panduro that im used to but some have a very dark lateral line that runs all the way into the tail. The fish are around 4 cm in total length.

One of my females has just spawned. Her pectorals are now nice and red and she is sporting a solid lateral stripe now...the eggs are encased in a long line of gel...is this normal?
Any hints on hatching the little buggers?
Mike
Heres some pics of some of my apistos. We usually dont have a huge choice of Apistos in Aus but things are getting better.
Ive a really crappy camera so some of the shots are not that good.

Apistogramma aggassizi 'double red'
Apistogramma agassizi 'tefe'...
Hi everyone
These were purchased as A. melgar (?) but Im hopefull they will be 'nanay'. Any ideas from these pics.

Thanks in advance

The old female A. nijsseni again, they became free swimming today.
Dad nijsseni, he has some verticle stripes in the tail
And a very young pair of A. panduro, the parents are only 2 cm long and this is her second spawn, first succesful.
its a pic of the fry on the aquarium floor...
Any tips on keeping these guys
Ive put a pair in a 50 litre tank with loads of rocks, logs etc but Im not sure it will be big enough.
Is it true they need ph of around 5 to spawn successfully?
Any other info from people who have kept them.
Thanks
Mike
Hi all
Heres a little video of my female courting the male...Ive reduced it as much as I can but its still about 600 kb...
This resulted in about 40 fry and I think she's on eggs again.

Hi everyone...with apisots being in such short supply in Aus I was pleased to see this on another forum, however some I have never heard of and am wondering if they could be 'rebadged' existing common species.
"The following types of New wild caught Apistogrammas are available for sale from 1...
Hi everyone
I submitted a dead A. panduro for histology to the local lab (well, it was to my wife who has access to these sorts of things).
