Nothing that i could see that suggested disease. it may be the case that he was just a fragile one that had not quite adapted to his surrounding or something spooked him and made him stressed. water parameters are fine and the female i have had coloured up a lot in the month i have had her
I think he may have been stressed because within a matter of days he went from being as lively as to be expected to very reclusive and then today i found him dead
So can someone put my mind at rest please. Currently my male ap. cocatuoide is hiding away in one of the caves in my tank. A few days prior the female was showing what i believe to be mating behaviour(rolling on side whilst around the male). Do the males take time to fertalise eggs/hide away...

My local area has particularly soft water and it would cocatuoides i would be going for.
Is it known that gouramis get on well. Mst of the time or is it more than likely they will suffer?
