    Dwarf cichlids: anomalochromis thomasii, nanochromis sp, pelvicachromis, dicrossus sp. There are a ton more cool dwarf cichlids, but these are some of my faves.     Eh, they're pretty good parents, so they're not likely to eat the fry unless it's their first spawn, in which case they might.

    If your having trouble with nighttime predators and are unable to remove any fry, you can try leaving the light on 24/7. You'll get a ton of algae, but it works.
