East Norriton (Natural Pet), DeKalb Pike. Plenty of the following: red neck macmasteri pairs, red/gold hongsloi pairs, cacatuoides orange flash pairs, fire red agassizi pairs, all priced at $40 a pair. Nannacara anomola $9.99 each.
Hello everyone. Hope all is well. Been awhile. Hidden Reef has been getting apistos on a frequent basis, for the past 4-5 months. They have had: A. eunotus, A. eremnopyg A. macmasteri red/gold, A. hongsloi red/gold, A. agassizi red tail, A. macmasteri red neck, A. cacatuoides triple red. They...
I'm interested. I need to know your water parameters though. I've had poor success with parilius and splendens, yet no problems with transvestitus, strangley enough.
Hope all is well with everyone. As of last Saturday Hidden Reef had about a dozen triple red cacs, and a dozen borelli, a particularly nice variety. Fish are being sold as singles, not pairs: $10.99 for the cacs, $9.99 for the borelli.
Thanks Chance. Under what conditions do you keep splendens? Do you use RO? How often do you change water? PH, etc. Any info would be appreciated.
Thanks Gerald, but I haven't any splendens at all right now.
BTW, if anyone knows where I can get N. parilius, please let me know.
As for the...
Hello all. Hidden Reef is listing Apisto baenschi 10/20. Going there today, will let you know if any left, and quality.
Chance, how are your splendens coming along? Mine died. Can't figure why.
I got a reverse trio of N. splendens, Congo. dimidiatus, C. sabinae, C. sp. 'green comma/speckle/crescent', Pelvic. , pelvicachromis drachenfels. Still not sold on splendens. Color is great but fish is too slender. Seems to be starting to fill out though. My favorite remains N. parilius, but...
Saw some cacs at TFP about a month ago. They usually have them. Call fish room and ask. For mail order, Ted Judy is the place to go. Teds Fishroom.
Congratulations Chance! BTW, got a bunch of nannochromis and congochromis and baenshi, hongsloi II from Ted. Doing well so far.
Thanks Chance. I also like nannochromis parilius/nudiceps. Haven't seen these in the hobby for a long time except via mail, so they have become high price. If you ever see these at the LFS, please let me know. i would get enough to put in all my tanks. Used to see them occasionally at TFP.
Hi Chance. Nannochromis species have always been my favorite dwarf cichlids! Please keep me in mind if you have young. BTW Don is back at FF, which is great.
Hope everyone doing well. Busy Summer here. Will be posting more late Summer. Into my ponds right now. Fish Factory had(s) pelvicachromis nigerian red. Nice fish. That fish Place has 35% off all fish and plants through 8/2. Plan to visit next week. Have a nice pair of apisto cruzi right now...
On another note, does anyone know how to treat fish that act as if they're trying to spit something out. Otherwise very healthy in appearance, but appear to be spitting, or coughing. I've heard it's an intestinal parasite, but nothing I've tried works, and most of the time the fish eventually...
There seems to be an albino strain also, unless it's gold? I like albino fish, the red eyes are awesome. I have a beautiful albino discus, blood red fins and eyes, the rest a cream tan color. I've been experimenting with astaxanthin, with my discus and apistos, which is a natural red color...
Eddy Lips sounds great! BTW, the color is more of a orange than red. Is this something that will change, or is there a triple orange that I've never heard of?
Hi everyone. Hope all is well. HR has some triple red cacs. I picked up a male yesterday. His name will be Edward G. Robinson II. They have Have one pair left. $35. Been busy outdoors.
Ertyjr, I'd be interested in splitting shipping cost with you also. Let me know. In the next month or so, I plan to order apistos for my discus tanks.
Also will be ordering killies form Craig Bucher in Florida, who's back on aquabid after the winter.
Hi Darrel. You make a good point. Perhaps it's a water quality issue. Their brine shrimp tanks often contain many skeletons of dead shrimp and cloudy water. I don't know much about disease cause or transfer, but assume at some point the balance between a fish's immune system and the quantity of...
