Yeah that's exactly why I hesitated to mention the countless antibiotic products I used over the years to try to treat our tanks. Depriving the pesky stuff of all light works OK if you combine that with other methods.
I had so many battles with cyanobacteria infections when I had my pet shop. In addition to vacuuming and hand-removal, I found it helped to cut the lights completely for a couple days.
Welcome to the forum! I agree he does look a bit off. Strange that you're not noticing any other symptoms. Do you have the capacity to temporarily segregate him? Quarantine him and see if he improves?
In addition to hiding places, add features that shorten the line of sight within the tank. make it so no one can see from one side all the way to the other side.
