This little guy was all alone in a tetras tank at a LFS... a month later it still was there...so, now it is in my planted tank. Can anyone confirm for me if it is Dicrosssus filamentosus? Thanks!

Could be either filamentosus or maculatus. The tall blotches at mid-body (taller than wide) looks like a maculatus feature, but both species can vary, and filam is usually much more common (at least in USA imports).

Gerald's right. I give it a better chance of being D. maculatus based on the more rhomboid shape of the lateral spots and the pattern of spots on the caudal peduncle.
