Gephyra female or other apisto???

Note the distinctly separate (from the lateral band) caudal spots on the 2 'females'. Definitely NOT A. gephyra. To me they look like a pair of A. cf. pertensis (commonly collected with A. gephyra).

the seller insists that it is a female Gephyra

My guess is that the dealer bought the lot as "A. gephyra" and sold them as such. Sadly the best defense is for the buyer to know how to identify his fish. If anyone has seen any of my programs, they have seen the 1st picture (cartoon) that states "Know your fish".

I agree Mike, do you know who has the real gephyra female for sale and shishita male?

Ok Mike, no problem and thanks for you help, on Thursday I hope to receive two correct female gephyra, when I have them.I'll take photo and post them to see if they are correct.
