Very nice, Micke, thanks for posting them. A great looking killi, and, I'm sure even better in real life.
Here is an A. cyanostictum.

Nice photo Ekona!!

Too sad for me to see though...
I lost my group of Diapteron juveniles during some warm weeks this summer!!!:(:(

I was late to focus on that tank in the middle of the few warm Swedish/Nordic summer weeks that we got!!
(We are as rigid statues when we get sun + temperatures above 20 degrees Celsius in this country!!! ):)

But some killi-friends of mine still have got some Diapteron species.. If I am lucky they may sell a couple soon..??

BTW...!!

Diapteron is now (once again..) belonging to the "new"/recently rearranged Aphyosemion family ?????

A friend of mine said that we "Europeans" have been calling them Diapteron for many years, while you in the U.S. and other countries use the name Aphyosemion..??

My comment was referring to info I recently got regarding an article published in JAKA nr.39 Nov/Dec 2006 by Professor Glen E. Collier.. + rumours/info about DNA research/conclusions by French(and other..?) specialists/ichthyologists(?) ..and that this may lead to some name changes in the Killi family/genre?

From what I have heard .. Kinship between many Aphyosemion related species may have to be reorganized/revalued..

Yes, I'm aware of the Diapteron appellation but have not really been clear myself on the actual correct usage of either Aphyosemion or Diapteron as the genus name. I guess we'll just have to wait and see what revisions emerge and go with it :).
