Hi Guys and Girls,

A question on behalf of some other Dutchman, I'll roughly translate his words:

"My cacatuoides are quite productive. This time, I placed some of the fry in my borellii tank. To my surprise the borellii female regained her bright yellow breeding dress, starting to chase the male away and gathered the fry.. Now, she's already leading the fry through the tank for a few days."

Off course, there's is the fry stealing within the same species. What about this behaviour? Any thoughts?

A lot of species do this even mammals, I've seen lions and gazelles. Its her maternal instincts taking over even if it isnt her young. She wants something to protect, they will do if her male isnt helping her so to speak
