Hi,

I've been looking into the Alacrina, cant find to much information about them thought. Anyone that keeps them i would like to now everything..

Are they really that easy to keep as sites state.
What cages size is the best and if possible can one keep them 2M and 3F or is it better 1M 2F

Its for a 330L aquarium.

Kind regards

The holotype forms of A. alacrina are very rarely imported. The fish we usually find is the old stand-by Rotpunkt Apisto, A. cf. alacrina (Rotpunkt). This is an excellent beginner's apisto. They are big, robust, adaptable to most water conditions both for keeping and breeding (as long as extremes are avoided), and the females are excellent mothers. Look on the web under the name "A. sp. Rotpunkt".

There are several different color variants of Rotpunk, blue to varying degrees, gray, and yellow. It's hard to say which these are from these photos.
